Goals and Weekend

Well I got up yesterday and worked out! Yay! This morning I was getting up and then I remembered, my nieghbor's kid is sleeping on my couch b/c they are moving and her bed was packed up yesterday!

So, that is my goal for today, to get in some type of exercise today. Also, we're going to my parent's house this weekend, and to save the excuses, I'll have to modify my workouts some there too (DVD player not working downstairs, sharing a room w/ kids, blah blah blah).

Anyway, I'll have spotty interent availability, so if I can't get on, then Happy 4th ladies and good luck with everything!

Oh yeah, my goal for the 4th is to only head up to the BBQ once! ;)

I signed up for the Disney 1/2 Marathon in September. I have never participated in a marathon before, and I started training. I walked 3.5 miles yesterday and 4.5 for tomorrow. My real focus is H2O, as I know I am not good in this area. Any suggestions for getting to the 64 ounces a day?

tomorrow's goal

my goal for tomorrow is to not eat crap. we are going camping as a family and i am really wanting to not eat the usual chips, marshmallows, etc ... i'm bringing lots of apples and water with us!!

i forgot to post my goal for today - it was to drink 8 16.9 oz water bottles of water. i just started water bottle #10. i feel like all i've done today is pee! *lol*

anyhow, as an intro, i'm jannet - from arizona. i have 4 kiddos - 11, 9 1/2, 8, and 6 1/2 - and they keep me really busy. i just lost 14 pounds, but have 16 more to go. this morning's weight was 135. i am going to use mondays as my weigh-in days ...

i am going to school part-time during the kids' school year - wanting to get an associates in exercise science -personal training and nutrition. i love to exercise and i love to cook and eat. (hence, the weight problem!)

i weigh in on the wii fit every morning. then, i do the ea active on the wii - i'm currently on day 3 of the 30-day challenge. i do the gold's gym cardio workout every day after that. two days a week i lift heavy weights at the gym and do some heavier cardio like roller blading or hiking.

This is Stephanie, mother to 3 great kids, 1 "tall" kid (my Hubby) & 1 dog.

I am committed to lose 10 lbs. by Sept. 1st........15 lbs by Oct. 1st.

I will weigh in on Wednesdays.

I broke my foot awhile back, and it has been a slow rehab.............I needed some motivation--THANKS DANA!

My goals are to run M-W-F; Strength Training on T&S; and Swim on TH. One day I hope to compete in a Tri.

My Goal

Dana , you have the greatest ideas!! Thank you for making me accountable. Knowing I have eyes watching my progress gives me the motivation to get healthy and lose the baby weight. My first GOAL is to lose 10 lbs. Today I will send you the not so pleasant first weight picture and I will weigh in every monday.
I have been working out at Snap Fitness and have lost about 4lbs so far. By making better choices in the food I eat and exercising at least 3 times a week, I have noticed I feel better physically, I want to get up earlier and the best feeling of all, I feel HAPPY! The major change I have made, is cutting my portions in half. It has made such a big difference. I allow myself one treat a day. Such as a cookie, frozen yogurt, or a pastry. My son isn't allowed soda, so applied the rule to myself. These changes have made a big difference for me, so I hope it helps others.

Hi everyone. I've been working at this since Oct 2008. So far, 74 lbs gone. I've been following a low-glycemic program and going to the gym for 1 1/2 hours 4 to 5 days a week. Hungry Girl has daily email messages and two cookbooks with low-cal, low-fat, low-sugar recipes. I normally weigh-in every other Tuesday, but will start doing it every Thursday. Good Luck everyone!

Reality Sets In

Hi Dana: My first goal is to eat breakfast! I am notorious for skipping breakfast and then eating all the wrong food the rest of the day. I'm attempting to lose 20 lbs. so that is my challenge. I can't exercise much as I'm disabled, but I do my best. My husband sent the picture with my feet on the scale and that was an eye opener!

Sarah's First Post....

I weighed myself before I got in the shower and I am 9 pounds away from my goal! Sam took the camera to Maine but I'm heading up there this afternoon. I packed my running stuff so hopefully I can do that when I'm up there. I had a GYN appt June 10th and I'm down 3 pounds from then so I was pretty proud of myself!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone has a happy, safe, and fun holiday with family & friends!!!!!!!

When I woke this morning at 5:30AM, I almost rolled over and went back to sleep...but no! I remembered that my walking shoes were waiting for me. I also remembered that I needed to take a picture of my feet and scale....hmmm...should have located the camera last night. Found it, took the picture and tried to read the number( too early and no contacts). Got dressed and started my 1 mile walk. I watched the sun rise over the mountains and committed myself to this journey. Thank you, Dana and good luck to everyone involved!

Goal- Be Committed

Thanks Dana, I totally needed this motivation. And to do this with many bloggers I read is good too, not to mention your fabulous designs. :-) I have a lot to lose, too much, stepping on the scale this morning was very scary, but had to be done. My weigh in days are going to be on Wed. So today starts my goal. I have much more than 20 to lose, but 20 is a GREAT start.
I am starting today with a two week turn around program, kind of hard core jump start. I hope it works.

Goals

To be honest...I totally stink at setting and achieving my goals. That definitely explains my steady weight gain for the last few years. That and the fact that I am an emotional eater. My weigh in day will be Thursdays and I am excited to try this out. I just started a Body Boot Camp class and I'm embarrassed by how badly I hurt today. I have let my body waste away to jiggly mass of regret. I will commit to this and do better....I am happy for the support. Good luck to everyone.

Goal for today and every wednesday

Now that the children take a rest, I can do my gym, with Claudia Schiffer or Cindy Crawford... it depends of my mood. But here I go with 45 minutes of exercices for arms, legs, abdo...etc! And after that, I feel so good!
It's been 16 months that I do it every weeks, twice a week! I can say that it helps me loosing weight or at least, strengthing my "after pregnacy body"!
Take courage girls and DO IT!

Wednesday Weigh In - 168

Ok, I'm up and I'm weighed. BARF! However, I am not as bad as I thought (I guess) and not as much as I was (yay!).

But, I have to say one thing .... It is hard to read the numbers on my scale (especially so early in the AM) - the line was below 170 and above 165, so I'm going to say 168. Hopefully in a few days it will go down and make my life easier when I read that thing!

Also, I measured myself and I have lost several inches from when I started my work out DVDs in May! YES!!!

That motivated me so much! I'm heading down there right now to slim it up!

Goal for tomorrow and this week.

Thanks Dana, I am sooo excited about this! I have a lot to lose, but this should be a great big shove to get off my tush and start getting busy! I had knee surgery this last year and it has really bummed me out. I am still struggling to get back to a regular exercise schedule. I guess I want to exercise 5 days a week (at least walking) and my weigh in day will be Wednesday. I have vacation coming up and we are leaving July 9th so hopefully this will help keep me honest while I am gone. Tomorrow I am going to the zoo with the kids, my goal will be too make sure and get my water in.
