Goal for tomorrow and this week.

Thanks Dana, I am sooo excited about this! I have a lot to lose, but this should be a great big shove to get off my tush and start getting busy! I had knee surgery this last year and it has really bummed me out. I am still struggling to get back to a regular exercise schedule. I guess I want to exercise 5 days a week (at least walking) and my weigh in day will be Wednesday. I have vacation coming up and we are leaving July 9th so hopefully this will help keep me honest while I am gone. Tomorrow I am going to the zoo with the kids, my goal will be too make sure and get my water in.

The Weight of the Camera

Gracious, Dana. My weigh in day will be tomorrow instead. I need to factor in the weight of the darn camera. If I don't, I will start out behind, and trust me, you don't want to see that! With my luck, I will weigh 184 instead of 179.

OMGoodness!

I weighed this morning and I was 179. Yikes. Tuesday will be my weigh-in day.

Dana, it was truly a blessing that you came up with this idea. I decided to participate in the Disney 1/2 marathon in September, and I need to be gettin serious, if I don't want to be picked up by the straggler truck.

I will start tomorrow too and I'll go ahead and have Wednesday be my weigh in day. yuck!

I was doing so well with the Slim in 6 DVDs (I know, but I was up late at night with my son and there was this infomercial, and I don't know what came over me! lol). But, really they are great - I mean, I already lost a whole dress size!! But, then my husband and I went on vacation and then when we got back the kids were sick and then it was my last week of school, and now three weeks later and well, I'm sure I could go on forever!

I'm going to get up in the morning and weigh myself and measure myself so I have a base to start with, or a reminder of where I never want to return! ;) yeah, that's it!

Thanks Dana for bringing this together. It is nice to know that we're not the only ones!




Thank you, Dana, for lighting the fire under my tush! I needed a shove. Tomorrow I will begin my journey to a better and healthier lifestyle! July 1st. I have already moved my walking shoes from the depths of the closet floor to my bedside!

and my weigh in day will be tomorrow, 1st of July--might as well not procrastinate anymore. :) I will be getting back on with the "Eat to Live" plan, it has worked very well for me in the past, plus it helped me break my addiction to some not-good-at-all-for-me-foods :)

Hi all:

Thanks to Dana for starting this blog....

What helped me lose the initial 20 pounds was incorporating carbs that are low on the glycemic index into my diet. For example, using Agave honey instead of sugar in my coffee or as syrup on wheat pancakes etc.

I also found out that sourdough bread (low on the GL index as well) is best for diabetics......
